Tracking Your e-District Application: Step-by-Step Guide
Learn how to check your e-District certificate application status online using your reference or acknowledgment number.
After submitting an online application for a certificate (such as income, caste, or domicile), you can monitor its progress in real-time. The **edistrict application tracking** system allows you to check which official is currently reviewing your file and estimate when the certificate will be ready for download. This guide explains how to track your application status online.
Using Your Reference Number
When you submit your application on the portal, the system generates an acknowledgment slip containing a unique application or reference number. This number typically follows a state-specific format (e.g., EDIST/UP/1234567 or similar strings). You must save this number, as it is required for all status checks.
How to Track Your Status Online
You can check your application status using two methods:
Method 1: Quick Track (No Login Required)
- Go to the homepage of your state's official e-District portal.
- Look for a link labeled **"Track Application"**, **"Check Status"**, or **"Search Certificate"** on the main menu.
- Select the service type and input your application reference number.
- Click "Search" or "Submit". The system will display the current status of your application (e.g., "Under Process", "Approved", or "Rejected").
Method 2: In-Dashboard Status (Login Required)
- Log into your citizen account on the portal.
- Navigate to the **"View Status of Application"** or **"Track Submitted Applications"** section in your dashboard.
- Review the table showing your recent submissions. This dashboard provides more detailed information, such as the name of the reviewing officer and any remarks they have added.
Understanding Status Statuses
- Initiated / Submitted: Your application has been successfully filed and is waiting to be assigned to an officer.
- Pending with Tehsildar/Lekhpal: The application is undergoing local verification. The officer may visit your address or verify documents.
- Approved / Delivered: The verification is successful, the digital signature is applied, and the certificate is ready for download.
- Rejected: The application was denied. Review the remarks to see the reason (such as missing documents or incorrect details) so you can make corrections and reapply.
